Sharp LC32SV29U Review
Sharp LC32SV29U 32 is my first HDTV, so keep in mind I don't have any frame of reference to compare it to. I'm not sure why others are complaining about picture quality, this thing looks great to me. The TV itself looks great in my living room, and HD channels are sharp, clear, and vibrant. No complaints, but then again, I'm no HD expert either.

VIZIO XVT323SV Review
I was hesitant to get VIZIO XVT323SV 32 TV because of the word on the street that they could fry. So far so good. I've had it about a year, and the picture is great. Only complaint is that it takes a few moments to recognize the cable box, or a few to turn on and shut down.

As flat-panel TVs get flatter and lighter, TV makers look to differentiate themselves among the wall of panels at your local Best Buy in ever more ingenious ways. One of the most impressive we've seen is the ultraslim bezel available on the Samsung UND7000 series, which frames the picture with an edge just 0.2 inch wide.

That razor-thin frame significantly out-slims the 2010 champ, LG's 7/8-inch-bezel LE8500/LX9500, and allows Samsung to make statements like "consumers can enjoy the 55-inch screen in the same space of most 52-inch TVs." It's so thin the controls have to be mounted behind the TV--although front-facing indicators make them easy enough to use.

In addition to its design chops, the UND7000 improves upon the step-down UND6400 models with a few extras. It offers a 240Hz refresh rate and the company says it has improved 3D performance significantly over 2010 models.

The D7000 has an edge-lit LED backlight, but we saw no mention in Samsung's press materials whether it shares the same Motion Adaptive Dimming found on the step-down D6400 series. The step-up D8000 offers improved local dimming from an edge-lit configuration, according to Samsung.

The materials do specify that the D7000 series adds a Web browser and built-in Wi-Fi to the D6400's Smart TV suite of Internet options, which includes new features like "universal" search and a recommendation engine in addition to numerous Samsung Apps. The D7000 lacks the touch-screen remote found on the D8000.

Pricing wasn't announced at CES, and availability is listed as the first half of 2011.

Editors' take: I had the opportunity to check out the new thin-bezel TVs, and their design is as striking as anything I've seen. In person the picture can seem to float in the midst of its surroundings, an impression enhanced by the transparent edging and stand base. I haven't been a fan of edge-lit TVs from a picture quality standpoint, but aesthetically the UND7000 is an unqualified success in my book.

Samsung UN40C6300 Review
Purchased Samsung UN40C6300 via Amazon.com and have now had for about a month. Samsung UN40C6300 is a great High Definition TV(my 3rd) especially where space is a limitation. The picture quality is excellent - very clear and the image nearly jumps off the screen. It is ultra sharp with little to no processing artifacts. I also have a Sony BRAVIA LCD 40" which is 2-3 years old but the picture is no where near as clear and free of artifacts as the Samsung 40" LED-LCD and the Samsung generates less hear - i.e. uses less power. Highly recommended in Samsung UN40C6300 Cyber Monday screen size class.

LG 55LW5300 Review
Ok we have had this tv for about 3 weeks and love it. It's 55" of 3d greatness. Now you may see 3d tvs from Sony or Panasonic that once you put those heavier glasses on, you might see some flickering. Those tvs are.called active 3d and this LG uses passive 3d. Basically the screen is coated and the glasses do the rest.

Now passive 3d is the same 3d you may see at the movies, so the glasses from the movies will work on this tv. Keep in mind with the active shutter glasses coat $50 -$100 +, you get 4 free included and you go to the movies and bring those home and thats more for everyone. If you wear glasses, these will fit over your glasses or read my review of the clip ons.

This set comes with a 3d blu ray player which rocks. Neither the tv or 3d blu ray is networked to get on the internet, except the blu ray for bd live and updates. This is fine and helps keeps the cost down.

Now you can watch regular tv, dvds and blu rays in 3d with the help of on the fly 2d to 3d conversion which rocks not only for regular viewing, but for games as well. Playing Call of Duty on the 360 or Uncharted on the,ps3 is awesome once you hit the 3d button. Last night I tried God of War Origins collections that is a 3d enabled game and all I can say is wow.

Also 3d blu ray movies are amazing. If you get this set or any 3d tv, I would recommend Imax Under the Sea. Keep in mind the ps3 also does 3d.

Over the years, I've done reviews and have studied prior to purchasing. I did no different on this LG 60PZ550. I looked at nearly all brands of PLASMA TVs and finally fell into the LG realm. My first thought was to get the biggest/best, then I started looking at the actual numbers. What was my criteria?

1) Screen Size: 60" ... but, it had to be no more than 34" in height.
2) 3D: this isn't really my criteria, I inherited it from my kids.
3) Thickness: I don't want a very thick or heavy TV
4) Plasma: Sorry, I've owned and viewed LED/LCDs v. Plasma - for sheer 1080p experience, my perception is that Plasma always looks better.

Samsung UN40D5003 Review
Samsung UN40D5003 TV has one of the smallest form factors of any of the 40" flat screen LED TVs so fit in my rather small space 38 1/2" x 24 1/2". It has excellent picture and sound. The only reason that I rate it 4* instead of 5* is because it has rather limited inputs and outputs on the back panel (2 HDMI, 1 component video which can alternate as a composite video in) there is no VGA in for a computer, no S-video in, no audio out). It think it is an excellent value. Samsung obviously went with less inputs and outputs and putting their priority in the picture and sound quality of Samsung UN40D5003 TV.

Samsung UN60D6000 Review
Finally bought Samsung UN60D6000 TV a week ago and I'm thoroughly impressed. For the price this one cannot be passed up. I stood back and looked at what I wanted from a TV and this one fit the bill perfectly. I didn't need 3D or web browsing so I passed on the other models. I researched the whole flashlighting issue thoroughly before making the purchase, and yes, there is a little bit of flashlighting present, but it's barely noticeable on a fully black screen.....I'd never have let this minor issue sway me in my decision, just look around the web for proper settings and the flashlighting issue will be minimal. The sound is also very good for the design of this TV (super thin, rear-facing speakers) I was quite shocked. The picture quality as mentioned by many previous reviewers is absolutely stunning; Samsung LEDs are certainly market leaders in that accord, I was blown away by the clarity of the picture. I mainly bought this TV for gaming, and it gets the job done....It's almost hard to play the game simply because they're so much clearer now, I'm too busy taking in scenery to be bothered with all of the bullets whizzing by. Crystal clear and liquid movement...looks incredible.

To sum up the review I'd like to mention that I'm no A/V connoisseur, and for your average person I am thoroughly impressed with this TV. I find it rather easy to overlook the edge light bleeding simply because it's BARELY noticeable. And for someone who hasn't absorbed themselves into fancy speakers and high-dollar surround sound systems their entire life I will say the sound from this TV is definitely up to par. Would I buy one of these again? Absolutely.

I didn't get this from amazon. I was able to get a local shop to match the price and include next day delivery!!
The box it ships in is HUGE! I love this TV. Picture is great out of the box. Avatar will blow you away on this TV.

My only complaint is finding an affordable stand for it. I wanted something nicer than the tech craft stand.
All the stands I found that were as wide as the TV were too expensive. I ended up getting one a a local "blue N yellow" store.
The TV over hangs about 10 inches off each side. But that don't bother me.

Being DLP, you don't want any lights shining on the screen. The darker the room the better.

The sound from the Mitsubishi WD-82738 TV sounds fine. Only listened to it for about 5 min, while the delivery guys were here. After they left

after extensive research and careful consideration I finally "settled" on this model, one step down from panasonics top of the line vt model. My wife and I couldnt be happier with the choice. Picture quality that has to be seen to beleive. I am a novice when it comes to picture set-up and was initially disappointed with the quality using THX mode, however, after about 15 minutes of tinkering with the custom set-up we achieved absolute flawless HD, it is amazong. Although we didnt purchase the television for 3D, we have also come to enjoy it immensely. Great fun, I find the the 3D glasses comfortable and have had no issues whatsoever with viewing range or the signal, simply outstanding. Amazons delivery was prompt, very well packaged and the televesion easy to assemble and set-up. We have the unit for two months now and not sure why we didnt pull the trigger on this purchase sooner. Buy with confidence, excellent product.

Panasonic TC-P65VT30 Review
I hung Panasonic TC-PVT30 65" TV on my wall just a few days ago (using the Sanus VMPL3-B Tilt Wall Mount) and this TV simply exceeds my expectations.

The netflix streaming works great. I can watch movies from Amazon, Hulu, and YouTube along with my regular Verizon FIOS picture in high definition. Everything just kicks-ass! I can search for movies on YouTube using my USB keyboard (which is much easier than using the Panasonic remote).

Using the THX setting, the picture is outstanding. When the picture is coming from a lower-definition source, I can zoom in. When the picture is high-definition, it looks amazing.

Like many others, I debated whether to get the smaller 55" or the larger 65". But, sitting 10 feet away from this large screen, the TV feels just right -- not too big and not too small.

I cannot rate the wifi performance. But, using a regular wired ethernet connection to the TV, the streaming and download speeds are great. And, the Viera Cast functions are intuitive and very easy to use.

Overall, Panasonic TC-PVT30 TV rocks.

Samsung UN60D6500 Black Friday TV is awesome especially in 3D. It would have been nice if the directions showed how to connect a Wii via the component dongle as it's a little confusing, but not a big deal. The only thing that would make Samsung UN60D6500 Black Friday TV better is if Samsung threw in a wireless keyboard and a web browser.

Remote drawback: The arrow keys and the select key are arranged awkwardly. I can't say how many times I have hit the wrong navigation key or have to look at the remote to make sure I have my finger on the select button. It would have been nice for Samsung to have placed a raised dot on the middle button for dark tactile operations.

I bought LG 50PV450 tv because I looked around and found out that plasma's have the best picture quality for gaming. It has amazing graphic quality when playing xbox or ps3. It shipped quick and had good protection around the tv. Although its a bit heavy, it shouldn't be too big of a problem. It also looks amazing with HD movies as well. I would recommend this tv to everyone. You will not be disappointed. The picture is great, but the online content really stands out. The motion remote works perfectly like a wii remote for the web browser, among other features, and it's very easy to access things like Netflix. The picture wizard also works excellently, it walks you through different settings asking you to make adjustments and figuring out your preference. It made the color, brightness, etc. just the way I like it. The only con is it does heat up quite a bit, and it makes an electronic buzzing noise at times (but you really can't hear it with normal volume level). It's my first plasma so I'm assuming these things are normal for a plasma.

Normally I wouldn't buy anything but Sony for a television, but this LG has been very satisfying, if that says anything about LG 60PZ750 Black Friday.

Have owned Samsung PN64D8000 TV about 2 months and none of the issues listed by some of the reviews on the screen brightness. Samsung PN64D8000 Black Friday TV was an additional TV and not a replacement. I currently own one of the best TV's ever made, 50' pioneer plasma, this samsung unit is not as good but pretty close. User interface is good but remote has a lot of buttons and cannot be programed to control other brands. Hope this helps.

I did what everyone reading this is doing; pour over hundreds of reviews, forums, and expert opinions. My concerns were 1) the great room this TV was going into is super bright, 8 big windows; and 2) the room is huge and the 42" TV I had mounted on the wall just looked tiny.

I settled on this one because the 55" was a better price point than the comparable 60". I did look at a few 60" LED TVs. Because I like to watch a lot of sports and action movies, LCD/LED TVs were just non-starters. Even some of the new claimed 240hz or others just can't get rid of the motion blur.

When I got this TV delivered and set up I was impressed. After some recommended break-in and playing around with the settings, I find the picture quality amazing. I did break down and buy some of the off-brand 3D glasses and the 3D performance is very cool (though not the main selling point for me). DirecTV's 3D channels help but there isn't too much in the way of genuine 3D content.

As for my #1 concern, glare, I don't think it's an issue. With any plasma, there is certainly more glare than an LCD screen. There are about 2 hours in a given day when I have to get up and close some of the blinds to prevent the glare from being an issue. However, these are the hours when the full sun pours through all of the windows during the day when I'm not usually home. My wife swears she doesn't notice the glare and thinks I'm crazy to even talk about it.

Viera Cast is cool, though I wish they'd have a web-browser. I can't comment on the sound quality because I run everything throw a Pioneer Receiver and sound system. The TV does have an HDMI ARC(Audio Return Channel) which is vital for people running such a setup. Make sure your home theater receiver supports ARC or you won't be able to hear sound from Viera Cast through your speakers.

In short, buy this panasonic 50gt30 TV.

I purchased VIZIO E3D320VX TV for my sewing room and WOW has it become my "girl's den". The picture quality is just beautiful. The set-up was a piece of cake to do. The 3D is very impressive but I have to admit that I mostly watch HD programing or regular DVDs and Blu-Ray. I did get to watch the US Open Tennis championships in 3D and it was great. At this price I think it's a no-brainer.

The picture is very bright and just amazing. Much better than other manufacturers like Sony and Vizio.
This is a really nice size for a large room
When watching 1080p/60Hz sources, the picture is incredibly smooth. The 240 Hz refresh rate is absolutely amazing. I may have to watch this TV more even though the screen is only 1/4" of the size of my projection screen.
The wifi really works well. I have it working with wireless N on the 5 GHz band connected to a Cisco E3000 router about 50ft away. I can stream movies/previews from Vudu at the maximum quality, over 9 Mbit/s sustained. This may seem little compared to the 300 Mbit/s theoretical of wireless N, but it is actually impressive that there are no dropouts.
The price was excellent. It was the same as the 832 model at Costco which is not 3D. I see that it has now gone up by over $500 since I purchased it.
It has a lot of inputs - 4 HDMI, 1 component, 1 VGA

We have had two new HD TVs for just a bit over 5 months. One is a 23" Sony and one a 32" LG. The Sony hooked up easily, but the LG was like our first color set. We diddled with picture, sound, aspect ratio, and other settings to get the best picture and sound on each channel. I still don't know if the differences between channels is resolution, settings, or in the case of the news, makeup. But we were just happy to get it so that we could see all the face lifts...

Now for the Haier, a relatively unknown Chinese brand of high definition TV. I plugged it into our Comcast cable box using an HDMI cable, and bingo, a bright and sharp picture with wonderful sound. For a few minutes I was sure a mistake was made, and we had been given a 1080p instead of the 720 that was on the box. Perhaps anything under 50 inches doesn't matter. We think that the Haier is just as good and maybe even a little better picture than the LG! Not one factory setting had to be changed!

The sound from the built-in speakers is excellent - in part due to using an HTMI cable - and the Sound Leveler really works. No more spikes when changing channels and it even works on commercials that used to blare 10 db higher than the program.

(The hookups and quality are very good with our DVD player and photographs on a flash drive, but they will not be used very much. The TV will not be used with our computer, so I can't address that either.)

Initially, we had so much trouble with the remote from Comcast, that I was about to give this only 4 stars. We can only get HD through the Comcast box, and the Comcast remote - as bad as it is - should be our only remote. But the Comcast remote would not accept the two codes for the Haier TV, and I thought we would have to use two remotes. I called Comcast, and they gave me the same two numbers that came with their box. I called Haier, and they told me that they DIDN'T HAVE CODES FOR Comcast.

All was not lost, however. I went on line, asked for "Comcast remote codes for Haier," and the second link was a discussion where one respondent said, "Try the codes for DURABRAND."

The third code under Durabrand, and we were set!

I said in the title of this review that it was unexpectedly fantastic. Well, this is a phenomenal TV especially considering that it was the least expensive of all 32 inch HD sets. We now have great Hi Def in our bedroom where, in six minutes, I'm going to watch the last game of the World Series! (Sure, I could watch it in the living room, but I like new experiences.)
